Congregation Agudat Achim is a fully egalitarian, fully participatory Conservative synagogue – an “extended family”- based on caring, common goals, and mutual respect to attaining a greater measure of sanctity and meaning in our lives.
Our services are joyful, beautiful, and genuinely prayerful, with opportunities for both song and silence. We are committed to intellectually honest and challenging Torah study, through which we explore life’s most profound and difficult questions. We help families bring Judaism into their homes and believe that we have a communal responsibility to help our children grow into loving, sensitive, moral, and responsible Jewish adults. Adults and children alike in our community learn not only the information and skills they need, but they also learn to appreciate the joy, beauty, and meaning of being a Jew.
We are a full-service synagogue with religious and social events scheduled by the many arms of our synagogue. We are a warm and welcoming synagogue with members of all ages and levels of observance. Interfaith families are an integral part of our congregational family. All are welcome here! The congregation fosters an informal yet serious approach to Jewish living and observance. We have formal and informal programs for acquiring the skills to be an active part of our synagogue services. We have services twice a day, most days of the week. Yet we are more than services; we are a caring community. We take pride in our professionally led Hebrew school and in our award-winning and wide-ranging adult education programs. In addition, we have a top-notch catering service and have won awards for our Divine Kosher Cuisine Cookbook.
We are a proud member organization of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism
Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (or questioning), and all others are welcome here.
