The Comfort Cart
The comfort cart was designed to help patients feel more comfortable while staying at the hospital. The cart goes onto the nursing units 2-3 times a week with a volunteer handing out goodies and lots of smiles. The cart has been a HUGE hit on the nursing floors and the patients are excited when they see it rolling down the hallways. We aim to replenish our cart weekly and bring new items to the patients. If you have any interest in helping to replenish our cart, we are looking for the following items-
-Emory boards, gum, candy, small puzzles, crossword puzzle books, books, hairbrushes, hair ties, small packs of tissues, playing cards, and reading eyeglasses. These items can all be found at the Dollar Store.
