DER KLEINER KLEZMER ORCHESTRA 2:20-3:05

An ensemble playing traditional klezmer music from the Jewish diaspora, Yiddish theater music from the
early 20th century, and Israeli dance music, Der Kleiner Klezmer Orchestra has been together for over 30 years. Core members are David Bates, who is on accordion and keyboard, David Ray, who is on violin and mandolin, David Lambert, who is on clarinet and saxophone, Mark Lambert who is on bass, Steve Lambert, who is on trumpet, and Bailey Quinn, who is the vocalist. The band often performs for Simchas at synagogues, Capital District Jewish community events, and farmer’s markets from Hudson to Plattsburgh. The band has drawn on old recordings, out-of-print Klezmer music collections, Yiddish theater compositions, and modern Israeli music to create a unique repertoire.

HARMONIC DUO 10:30-11:15

They are known as the hardest-working duo in the Capital District performing over 100+ shows per year for the past 13 years. Harmonic Duo has an extensive fan base throughout the Northeast, playing many of the same venues they started in. They are also known for being the pioneers of performing live with their own recorded backing tracks that give them the sound of a full band. Harmonic Duo has very talented multi-instrument musicians with incredible vocals and harmonies.

Paul Stockwicz -Electric & Acoustic Guitar, Mandolin, Harmonica & Vocals and  Herman Stanley -Acoustic Guitar, Lap Steel, Harmonica & Vocals.

3 MINUTE POP 3:30-4:45

The Capital Region’s best-kept “pop secret,” plays sweet power pop, dripping with jangly guitar, driving beats, and shimmering three-part harmonies. Not descriptive enough for you? – Think Matthew Sweet, Goo Goo Dolls, Barenaked Ladies, and Jimmy Eat World.  Think Teenage Fanclub, Big Star, and The Byrds. Think The Cure, Squeeze, The Pixies, INXS, Elvis Costello & The Attractions.

Get The Knack? I mean…the point? “We don’t write all the songs, we just make `em POP!”

Three Minute Pop! plays the coolest power pop, pounding out some of the purest power pop hits and deeper cuts from the `70s, `80s, `90s, and today – songs that people know, but just don’t know the names of. We’re talking tunes like “A Million Miles Away” by The Plimsouls and “One More Time” by Joe Jackson – pure power pop that’s too good to get played on commercial radio and that too few bands play live – save for Three Minute Pop!

It’s fun to watch fans’ faces light up when Three Minute Pop! kicks into The La’s “There She Goes” or Tal Bachman’s “She’s So High,” one-hit wonders that always get fans shouting, dancing, and singing along.”
